What happens

At low tide the beach feels brand-new, and something is glinting near the tide line: a green glass bottle with a rolled-up map inside. Theo and Papa follow it into the tall dune grass, swish-swish, until the path splits and Theo walks a little ahead — far enough that he can't see Papa behind him. He calls out, loud and clear, and Papa is there in a moment. Then they follow the map together, down between the dunes, to a small round cove with clear water and a trickling waterfall.

Why it works at bedtime

A treasure-map adventure whose real subject is asking for help, which the story frames as the brave thing rather than the failure. Theo leaves the bottle on a sunny rock for the next explorer, and falls asleep with the cove still in his dreams.
