What happens
Hazel the hedgehog has a wonderful idea: camp out under the biggest apple tree. Little brother Bramble claps — until the orchard grows dark and he misses his own little bed. Hazel doesn't scold. She tucks moss around his feet, finds his leaf blanket, points to the same moon that shines on their burrow, and hums Mama's quiet song while fireflies blink along the creek.
Why it works at bedtime
Permission to miss home, and a soft way through it. They snuggle close on the hilltop, safe beneath the stars.
