What happens
Cora lives at the top of a little white lighthouse on a rocky hill, and every night she lights the big warm lamp — click, glow — so boats can find their way home. One evening thick grey fog rolls in, and out in the mist a duckling family is lost. Cora turns the beam to its brightest and calls them toward the warm yellow path across the water, cheering on the tired little one at the back.
Why it works at bedtime
A sea-and-night story about being the light for someone else. The fog drifts away, the stars come out, and Cora gives the lamp one last sleepy spin before whispering goodnight.
