What happens

Gus the goat wears a shiny silver bell and thinks clang-clang is the best sound ever. Butterflies jump. Birds fly off. Bees buzz away. Frogs dive in. Alone and sad, Gus learns from Mama Goat that soft ears need soft steps — tink, tink, tink. He practices walking slowly. A butterfly lands and stays. Soon the bees, birds, and frogs come back.

Why it works at bedtime

A gentle lesson about volume and belonging. Ends with Gus tinkling soft goodnights as the stars come out.
